The book is titled, “Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir From Queen Mary To Meghan Markle.” It covers all the goings-on at Kensington Palace for the past 200 years. Although the book claims to give the reader a behind the scenes account of the official version of palace history, the author does spend a little time on Britain’s hot royal topic: Kate vs. Meghan.
Ever since Meghan Markle entered the royal scene, there’s been rumors of her not getting along with Kate Middleton. Supposedly, the famous argument that left the two out of sorts occurred when Prince Harry and Meghan were living at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.
Quinn says he spoke to “someone who was there.” He said that Meghan had asked a staff member to do something, but they told her: "I'm really sorry I can't do that because I work for Kate". The author claims that Meghan went on to argue with the staff member and felt that she was not getting the attention she deserved.
The years that Meghan spent as a senior member of the Royal Family have been fraught with rumors of her not getting along with Kate and being difficult. No one really knows if those rumors are 100 percent true, but we do know that like the late Princess Diana, Meghan receives a lot of unfair coverage in tabloids. Perhaps most of it has to do with a clash of cultures. Most of the rumors hearsay, but one thing is for sure. It seems like a little distance and a world pandemic has a way of patching things up for the royal family.
