Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s 12-month-old son, Archie, has started talking, according to a source close to the family. Speaking to Us Weekly, the insider explained that Archie has started saying a few words, including “Dada” and “Mama.”

The insider told Us, "He’s saying a few words, like 'Dada,' 'Mama,' 'book,' and 'dog.'"

 

Plus, the source revealed some of Archie's favorite activities: "He loves playing hide-and-seek and using building blocks."

The source was not surprised that "Dada" was one of Archie's first words.

 

The insider explained, "When Harry walks into the room, Archie gets so excited, he puts his arms out — his way of saying, 'Pick me up!'"

A source spoke to Us about Archie previously in November 2019.

 

At the time, Archie was still trying to talk: "He’s a strong baby and you can tell he’s super smart. He can sit up without support and roll over, and he’s almost crawling. He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying!"

According to the source, Archie is a friendly baby who loves being around people.

 

"He takes a keen interest in his surroundings and is already engaging and interacting with people. He loves to be entertained. And he isn’t a needy baby--he’ll happily go to Harry and Meghan’s friends without kicking up a fuss," the source explains.
