You Might Want To Sit Down Before Hearing What The Royal Family Has To Say About Meghan Markle

In his speech, Prince Charles spoke about a visit her made in 2017 to the Black Cultural Archives in Brixton.

He described the visit: "It offers a compelling reminder that our society is woven from diverse threads, drawn from so many parts of the world, which strengthen and enrich the fabric of our national life."

He explained, "Recognizing the rich diversity of cultures which make this country so special – and in many ways unique – lies in the heart of what we can be as a nation."

Prince Charles concluded with a more generic message about the power of diversity: "The diversity of our society is its greatest strength and gives us so much to celebrate."

Despite his kind words, not everyone believed that the message was genuine--especially considering the Royal Family's treatment of Markle.

In fact, many pointed out the hypocrisy in Prince Charles celebrating diversity in his speech without coming to the aid of his daughter-in-law, Markle, from racial bullying.

One critic took to Twitter, writing, "Gosh. Maybe some day a member of the royal family will marry a beautiful African American person. Then the family can unite around this person with love and support when they are victimized by racists. Oh wait..."

Another commented on his hypocrisy, "If only your actions matched your words..."

The Royal Family did not respond to this criticism.
