It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian loves sharing pictures of what she and her family are up to – and from time to time, we get to see pictures of young Kim Kardashian too, courtesy of the pictures she (and other members of her famous family) shares on social media. And we are always obsessed with the trips down memory lane, especially as it proves to any naysayers that, despite the alleged cosmetic work she may have had done over the years, she was always a natural beauty. Even *with* those barely-there brows that haunted us all in the nineties! No one could escape them, not even Kim!
Kim’s Rise To Fame
Kim and her family became household names when their hit show Keeping Up with the Kardashians first landed on E! back in 2007, but she first rose to fame a few years prior, when she was working as Paris Hilton’s stylist and attended some red carpet events with her. She also briefly dated Nick Lachey shortly after he split from Jessica Simpson, although he has since said that Kim used him for publicity, claiming that she called the paparazzi to alert them of their whereabouts.
Kim Kardashian Career
Kim has had many standout moments in her personal life and career since the start of KUWTK, including spin-off shows Kourtney and Kim Take Miami (2009–2013) and Kourtney and Kim Take New York (2011–2012) as well as lending her name to the 2014 mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and releasing her book of selfies titled Selfish in 2015, among so many other ventures. And of course, let’s not forget that she welcomed her first child, daughter North West, in June 2013, got married to Kanye West in May 2014, and announced that she would begin training as a lawyer in 2019.

It’s a totally different story in 2022, as Kim also loves her privacy and only shares what she wants to on social media. Which as luck would have it, still seems to be a lot! As the founder of several successful brands such as Skims and Skkn by Kim, not to mention featuring on her family’s new Hulu reality TV show The Kardashians, which is now in its second season, she has come a long way since her Paris Hilton stylist days and is now said to be worth $1.8B. Wow! But that doesn’t mean we don’t love going back in time and reminding ourselves what she and the rest of the Kardashian Jenners used to look like and get up to!

1. 4-Year-Old Kim
We bet that Kim's parents knew that she was destined for a life in the spotlight – look at how much the camera loves her – and vice versa – in this throwback picture that was taken when she was just four years old!
2. Kim At 11 Years Old
This picture of Kim at 11 years old shows that she was into the beauty trends from a young age. And unfortunately, when Kim was 11 years old, very thin eyebrows were very much on trend, which is probably something she now looks back at with despair! (You're not alone, Kim!) We do love seeing her baby hairs though, and still wish that she kept them!
3. Posing In A Car
Kim got into the habit of documenting her every move from a very early age, so this sporadic photoshoot in the car from her teenage years doesn’t surprise us. She looks effortlessly glamorous in the picture, sporting her dark, straight hair, thin brows (blame the beauty trends of the past!) and a glossy, plump pout.

Kim shared this throwback picture of herself posing with late family friend Stephanie Schiller, who sadly passed away in 2010. Rocking a seemingly makeup-free face, Kim is posing in a simple black T-shirt with a plunging neck, while her hair appears to have been dyed a lighter shade of brown with some highlights. So very nineties!
6. 7th Grade School Yearbook Photo
While most of us would be panic-hiding or even burning past yearbook photos, we know that Kim won’t have that problem – especially with this picture from 7th grade! Sporting a natural and glowing face and en-vogue brown hair with subtle highlights, Kim looks absolutely beautiful. When Kim first shared this throwback picture on Instagram, Kourtney said: “You put cream bleach on your hand and ran it through your hair the day before school started for that cool orange streak.” Her face may have changed a little with various alleged cosmetic treatments over the years, but there’s no denying that she was a natural beauty to start with!

Earlier this year, Kim shared this throwback snap of herself enjoying an ice cream cone from way back in 1996. Wearing a simple white T-shirt with her hair styled in an effortless messy do, it doesn’t get more candid and natural. And we’re here for it!

In February 2019, Kim shared this sweet throwback picture on what would have been her late father Robert Kardashian's birthday. The picture was from her own birthday – her sweet 16th, to be exact – where he gifted her a car! Wow! "This was my Sweet 16 and this is the moment my dad surprised me with my first car!" Kim wrote on Instagram. "I wish you were here so badly so we could have so many more memories! We are all missing you and celebrating you today!" We love these innocent candid moments that were caught on camera way before Keeping Up with the Kardashians came into our lives!
10. A 90s Throwback Snap With Kourtney
Another throwback pic from Kim’s teenage years, this time featuring older sister Kourtney, who is rocking some adorable pigtails! Kim shared this throwback picture to her Instagram in January 2021, and captioned it: “It’s the brows for me…” We love how she can make fun of herself, especially because she isn’t the only one who was a slave to the tweezers in the nineties and early noughties.
11. 8th Grade Yearbook Photo
Kim shared this throwback snap from her eighth grade yearbook photo ahead of the 2018 Met Gala, which had the theme, ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.’ She captioned the photo: “Catholic School Girl 8th Grade.” This basically proves that she was ahead of the trends even in the eighth grade!
12. With Her Dad And Kourtney
We love the pictures the girls share with their late father, and this one is no exception. Kim and Kourtney and their barely-there brows can be seen posing on either side of their father, who is beaming with pride, while seemingly wearing matching ensembles consisting of a white vest top and turquoise cardigan.
13. With Dad Robert Kardashian And Her Siblings
This picture sees the girls (and a very young-looking Rob Kardashian!) all dressed up and loving life! Kim looks very glamorous in a seductive red dress, with her hair worn in a poker straight down do and wearing dark smoky eye makeup and a bold lip, while Kourtney is rocking some blunt bangs which we totally forgot she had. We would love to see her bring them back, wouldn’t you? Khloé was sporting a more natural look, and proved that she too was a natural beauty!
14. On The Red Carpet With Paris Hilton
Of course, we had to include a picture of Kim with Paris Hilton. As we all know, Kim worked as Paris’s stylist before her KUWTK days, and we live for red carpet pictures of the two ladies from that time! We wouldn’t see Kim wearing a pink babydoll dress on the red carpet these days (unless, of course, babydoll dresses found their way into the next Balenciaga RTW collection) which is why we are extra grateful this picture exists!
15. Thanksgiving 2006
In 2021, Kim treated her Instagram followers to this throwback picture from Thanksgiving 2006, featuring friend Sarah Howard. Kim’s brows were looking much fuller than they did in the nineties (thank goodness!) and she was looking natural and glowing, wearing some dark shadow on her lids and a nude lipstick.
16. ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Premiere
This look will go down in history, as it’s taken from the very first Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiere, and will therefore be ingrained in our memories forever! We don’t often see Kim rocking such curly hair – let alone with a bold red lip – so this was a nice surprise. And if anything, it makes us wish that she would rock the curls more often!
17. Monte Carlo Television Festival
We wonder if Kim and momager Kris Jenner discussed their outfits prior to turning up on the red carpet, or if their matching outfits were a nice surprise (or total style disaster, depending on how you look at it!) Thank goodness for Kourtney for breaking up the all-yellow color palette with a one-shouldered purple ensemble.
18. Kim, Kourtney And Khloé Visit ‘TRL’
Kim and her sisters visited MTV’s Total Request Live (ah, the good old days!) back in 2008, and they look almost unrecognizable! Kim kept things simple with jeans and a white tee, while Khloé went for something a little more daring in a see-through leopard print top and short skirt, while Kourtney kept it classic in a chic LBD with a chunky waist belt, as was the norm in 2008.
19. Benihana With Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie
Kim has experimented with lighter locks quite a few times over the years, before going back to her natural dark hair. Kim debuted some honey-hued locks back in 2009, which shocked fans in so many ways. And is it just us, or does she look like Jennifer Lopez in this picture that was taken with Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie at celeb-fave Benihana?!
20. Kim's First Pregnancy
Kim's first pregnancy was well-documented, and she provided us with quite a few glamorous looks, including this one in a mustard yellow midi skirt and leather jacket. We love how Kim still stuck to her trademark skin-tight ensembles throughout her pregnancy and didn’t try to hide her bump with oversized pieces! And we bow down to her for wearing those sky-scraping heels too!
