Your Favorite Menu Item May Not Be Available At Starbucks Much Longer, Here’s Why
June 19, 2021 by Justine Schwartz
Starbucks is experiencing an ingredient shortage that might affect your ability to order your favorite drink! Say it ain’t so. We thought that Covid-related supply shortages were behind us.
The coffee chain revealed in an internal memo that a supply shortage will halt a whopping 25 menu items from being served as of June 4th.
According to the internal company update, the Washington-based company is putting orders for at least 25 items on “temporary hold” due to supply chain issues. This isn’t good!
The items affected include summer favorite such as the Peach Green Tea Lemonade and the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher.
Additionally, oat milk shortages have been reported by customers this month across Starbucks locations in the U.S. Yikes!
Twitter users have revealed their frustration with the shortages on the platform since early June.
“I just went to Starbucks and tried to order a refresher and they told me they will be out of all refreshers all summer due to a nation wide shortage!” user Cheyenne Martinez tweeted on June 3rd.
The corporate Twitter handle replied to Martinez’s concerns with a statement: “Hi, I apologize for the inconvenience! Some stores are seeing outages due to the overwhelming popularity on menu items, and constraints in the supply chain. Rest assure we are working as quickly as possible to get this issue resolved. Thank you so much for your patience.”
We hope this all gets resolved soon!
