Zach Bryan has gotten himself into trouble before, but this might be the last straw for fans. The country singer took to X, formerly Twitter, last night and posted that he thinks Kanye West is better than Taylor Swift, a dangerous move when your fanbase is full of Swifties. Though he posted an extensive apology on Instagram, some fans aren’t buying it, and are begging him to stop drinking. Keep reading for more information.

Zach Bryan Tweets Kanye West Is Better Than Taylor Swift

On Tuesday evening at 10:47pm, Zach Bryan took to X to post the following message:

eagles > chiefs Kanye > Taylor who's with me

While the tweet has since been deleted, and his X account deactivated, fans were immediately outraged. Not only are Taylor Swift and Kanye West famously feuding after Kanye West stormed on stage during Taylor Swift's 2009 VMA's acceptance speech and announced to the audience that he thought Beyonce deserved to win over Swift, but he's also a known anti-semite and has famously said that "slavery is a choice."

Zach Bryan quickly realized his mistake and posted a rather lengthy apology on his Instagram stories. "For the record guys I wasn’t coming for Taylor the other night," he said along with the Spotify link to "Fortnight" by Taylor Swift and Post Malone. "I was drunkenly comparing two records and it came out wrong. I know there’s a lot of stuff that clouds around Ye and I was speaking purely musically. I love Taylor’s music and pray you guys know I’m human and tweet stupid things often. Hope one day I can explain this to her. Twitter gets me in trouble too much and I'd say it's best I stay off it. I’m sorry to any Taylor fans I pissed off or let down. Love you guys and I’m trying my best!"

But that's not all. The singer continued with more paragraphs of apology posted to different Taylor Swift songs. "I've been going through a hard time in my own life," he continued. "I think I was projecting a little. To be completely honest, it just came off as rude and desensitized to Taylor. I respect her so much as a musician that the last thing I want is people thinking I don’t appreciate and love what she has done for music. Okay, that’s the last of it! Love you guys and hope you guys understand. Don’t drink and tweet. Don’t drink and tweet!!"

Bryan posted two more stories, each with a length paragraph and another Taylor Swift song—"Not saving face here, but Taylor has been a force of nature for as long as we’ve all been growing up and I admire that," he added. And in the next, "This year has been an awful lot on me in personal ways that no one knows and I’ve been trying to cope and balance too many things at once. So I’m going to take a breather from tweeting stupid stuff, finish my tour, and ground myself somehow in the midst of all this."

Fans Slam Zach Bryan For 'Abhorrent Behavior'

Despite his extremely length apology, many fans are not keen to forgive Zach Bryan. "Zach Bryan is the single most pathetic cry baby loser right now," one person tweeted. "And promoting an antisemite and garbage person just to dunk on taylor? loser behavior."

"Zach Bryan," another person wrote directly to the singer, "I love your music. I used to love a drunk Tweet back in my day but I think you use alcohol as an excuse, a lot. Maybe take a little break from the sauce & not just X. This has nothing to do with anyone but you. Stop letting alcohol make you look like a fool."

"Abhorrent, disgusting, inexcusable behavior from Zach Bryan," another tweeted.

"I enjoy some of Zach Bryan's music from his past albums and I can agree he's talented, but when are you all going to realize that besides talent, that man is a narcissistic cry baby with no respect for women?" another asked.

"When has a celebrity making a post against Taylor Swift ever worked out for them?" said a final fan. "Say what you want about Taylor Swift but from a PR standpoint, what was he thinking?"
