Zoë Kravitz And Channing Tatum Had To 'Rethink' Their Relationship Recently And 'Grew Apart,' Sources Say
Kravitz, 35, recently directed Tatum, 44, in the psychological thriller, Blink Twice, where he played a tech billionaire harboring sinister secrets. The film marked the Batman star's directorial debut, and was released in the US on August 23rd. The insider also dished: "Ultimately once the project ended, they realized they were on different pages with what they wanted."
They went on: "It fizzled fast after their press tour wrapped. Zoë is a very independent person. After her divorce, she expressed that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again. She and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together. They realized long-term that it wasn’t going to work out. They were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they may not be a good match."
The Big Little Lies alum and The Vow actor are said to have "a lot of love between them" and their breakup was "amicable," the source stressed. Another insider echoed this, telling People: "The split is amicable. They realized they're at different stages in life," and that "Channing spends a lot of time in Los Angeles because of his daughter, but Zoë prefers NYC."
The Magic Mike star was previously married to his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan from 2009 to 2019 and shares one 11-year-old daughter, Everly, with her. Tatum was also in an on-again, off-again relationship with musician Jessie J from 2018 to 2020. As for the High Fidelity actress, Kravitz's previous marriage to actor Karl Glusman lasted from 2019 to 2021.
Tatum recently revealed that he and Kravitz will collaborate on another movie titled Alpha Gang. Insiders from the production confirmed to People that, despite their breakup, the She's the Man alum remains committed to the project alongside the X-Men: First Class actress.
An insider noted: "They will continue to work together and are excited about a new project. They both love filming and creating. Channing has a lot of respect for Zoë's focus and passion."
