Jessica Simpson‘s ex, and Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo wed Candice Crawford this weekend at the Arlington Hall in Dallas, winning what the tabloids had claimed was a “race to the altar” between the exes. While Jessica Simpson has set a date, her ex beat her to the punch, marrying Chace Crawford’s sister, who is, appropriately, a pageant queen.
UPDATE: The first photos of the couple and the bride’s gown have just been released. Here is the gown, a dramatic St. Pucchi number with lace sleeves and a full, billowing skirt:

According to People, the bridesmaids wore Badgley Mischka, and the gift bags featured a Neiman Marcus gift card, assorted treats from Great One Cookies, a Mix of the Month CD by DJ Lucy Wrubel, a miniature bottle of Moet champagne, a box of Dude Sweet Chocolates, gourmet popcorn, chips and salsa, “Killer Pecans” from Bandera Foods, Voss bottled water, and an assortment of Kiehl’s beauty and body products.
The bride has an 8-carat yellow diamond engagement ring, which features one carat of round diamonds surrounding the center stone, as seen in this obnoxiously watermarked photo (above).
