Eyebrows are sacred to many women. Although I’m not obsessed with how my eyebrows look on a daily basis, I do like to make sure they are taken care of and look their best. Eyebrow trends come and go, and some women prefer to have bushy, full brows while others lean toward thin and shaped brows. Whatever your preference is, it’s important to have products in your life that help you achieve eyebrows that make you feel great!
I’ve never gotten my eyebrows waxed or threaded, but instead just pluck them myself at home. Naturally my eyebrows are pretty thin and just need filling in and I know that that’s something I should be grateful for, and trust me I am. It’s one less thing to worry about! Even though I’ve dubbed myself an eyebrow minimalist, I still need at least one product to keep these brows in check. That’s why I decided to test and review the
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00 to see if it was able to fit my eyebrow needs. Scroll down to see my honest review of this product and if it’s something worth investing in.
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00
Key Ingredients: Grapeseed Oil & Vitamin E
I don’t think I’ve ever used a makeup or skincare product that had grapeseed oil as an ingredient. The
e.l.f., Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00 incudes grapeseed oil which is meant to create a base in makeup products which is exactly what this eyebrow pencil is expected to do. On the other hand, this product also uses Vitamin E which is an extremely common ingredient in products due to its ability to helping eyebrows look fuller.
Key Feature: Dual Sided Pencil & Brush
One of things that really caught my attention about the
e.l.f., Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00 was that it has dual sides. One side of the pencil features the creamy colored formula with a fine tip, while the other side has a spoolie end which lets you groom and shape your eyebrow hairs. So, if you have a few eyebrow hairs to tame, the spoolie end is going to be a game-changer.
How to Use:
Grab the spoolie end of the
e.l.f., Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00 and comb your eyebrows into the shape that you prefer. Once you are satisfied how you’ve tamed your brows, switch over to the pencil side and start applying the color in small strokes to fill in your eyebrows. Start with a little at a time until you figure out how much product you need!
My Honest Review:
As I mentioned earlier, I’m pretty simple when it comes to filling in and shaping my eyebrows, so I was excited to see how this product fit into my makeup routine. I applied my concealer, foundation and blush then proceeded to grab the
e.l.f., Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00. I brushed each eyebrow twice with the spoolie side before flipping over to the pencil side. I wasn’t sure how pigmented the formula would be, so I started out slow and steady. I started with small upward strokes of the product from the inside of my eyebrow out. I didn’t need too much product because the formula and texture of the pencil gave me the perfect amount of tint. After about six to seven strokes, my eyebrows were filled in and they didn’t look overdone which often happens when using eyebrow pencils or powders. I loved how they looked and was surprised with how little effort this look took!
The Bottom Line:
The great thing about e.l.f. products is that they are inexpensive but also trustworthy. The
e.l.f., Instant Lift Brow Pencil, $3.00 is an easy and cheap way to fill in your eyebrows without breaking the bank. This product is great if you are looking for a quick fill of your brows without overdoing it.
