Patricia Field For HSN: It’s A Little Too Tranny For Us

October 1, 2008 by SheFindsSuzelle

I got really excited last week when I discovered that I could have Carrie Bradshaw’s closet: Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field has partnered with HSN to bring us little people her iconic fashion collection, including bags, belts, dresses, tops, and everything you can dream up. Some of Carrie’s best looks from the summer blockbuster are included too… and to sweeten the deal, you get a free year-long subscription to Vogue with every piece you purchase.

But I’m not sure I’ll be purchasing much. Maybe it’s just the way they styled the models, but the whole collection is a little, well…tranny. Is it just me, or does this sequined black blazer (sold out… was $160) look like something a cross-dressing cabaret singer would wear? And the corsage belt ($30) is kinda biker chic gone sweet. In any icky, saccharine way. The Carrie floral ruffle dress just looks off. Instead of hot.

The one saving grace is the accessories category, where some (not all) of the pieces are quite fun, like this arty cocktail ring ($45). We also found the elusive Love keychain from the movie – although it's been taken over by random hanging charms

What do you think? Are you all over this or so over it? Tell us in the comment section below!
