Ladies, one of the most versatile pieces in your closet is a stylish dress that you can stun in all day long. But the only draw back with dresses is that some tend to get really wrinkly while you wear them. And if you think about it, there are a tons of ways that fabric can get wrinkled in between leaving home, getting to work, going out, and coming back again. Luckily, there are a few quick tricks to try that can keep your dress pressed and wrinkle free. Here are a few tips on how to stop your dress from wrinkling when you sit.
.Pull your dress flat when sitting. Before you sit down you remember to pull the bottom of your dress forward so that it is as flat as it can be against the surface that you are sitting on.
.Don’t cross your legs. It’s a habit that a lot of us have, but crossing your legs is a hazard if you are trying to avoid getting wrinkles on your dress. Just don’t do it so that you don’t put unwanted creases in your dress.
.Avoid rubbing up against other fabrics. If your dress is made out of a fabric that is prone to wrinkles like silk, make sure that you avoid rubbing your dress against other fabrics such as jackets or cardigans that can cause the dress to wrinkle.
.Don’t put anything in your lap. When you’re out and about, keep the accessories away from the dress. Don’t let your purse sit in your lap or any other items like books or a laptop. They can cause wrinkles to pop up, especially if they are sitting in your lap for a long period of time.
.Stand up as often as you can. Another way to knock out the wrinkles is to stand up as many times during the day that you can. Letting the dress hang loose in the way that it was meant to be worn–rather than being sit on for hours–can help you avoid wrinkles. Just take a few breaks to walk around throughout the day.
