All we can say is she’d better not lose them. The Luxuriator sunglasses cost a cool $65,000. The cost of these shades equals the same as a luxury sports car, or 100 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, among a million other things. Yet Paris throws them on to shield her eyes from the sun–unbelievable.
Check out some more outrageously priced shades and our cheaper counterparts that are nearly identical:
These sunglasses are by Los Angeles based designer to the stars, Luxuriator. Amusing name, not so amusing price tag. This model, the Duo 24 cost $65,000 and come equipped with everything you might want in luxury sunglasses: A 2 carat canary diamond and 132 hand-set pavé diamonds, creating a grand total of 3.45 carats of diamonds. Should you choose to purchase these, you’ll be in good company with the likes of Paris Hilton (pictured above in her pair), Oprah, and Paul McCartney.
For those of you who aren’t million dollar heiresses, try these blinging shades by Fantas-Eyes ($26).
Moss Lipow created these retro artsy shades out of ostrich and alligator leather, and although that is very impressive and all, we cannot comprehend how these rather ugly shades cost $3,800.
For the price of a Cartier watch, we’d rather put our money towards some sunglasses that are actually stylish, like this oversized brown pair from Banana Republic ($98). We’re sure PETA will soon be thanking us for our outrage over Moss Lipow’s terrible fashion mistake.
Compared to the previously mentioned shades, Dior’s latest Glossy design seems downright affordable at $1,295. The limited addition sunglasses that are out in April, and we’ll be first in line to get thme. We kid, these are in no way even remotely affordable, we can even barely afford the regular Glossys for over $200.
Instead we’ll opt for these large frame shades by AJ Morgan ($19.95).
