60+ Gift Ideas For Everyone On Your List

I hate this: I’m just minding my own business, and then I feel that dreaded sharp crack. My nail has broken! My perfect mani now a ferocious mess. If it’s at night (which is when it usually is–don’t ask what I’m up to), it’s not like I can just run out to the salon, or sometimes I just don’t have the time to. And it’s that expensive manicure that I’ve just broken in the first place–so why would I want to spend *more*. I wouldn’t.

I’m sorry to be melodramatic, but I’m kind of obsessive with my nails, which is why I *had* to try the new press-on nails that are seemingly everywhere right now. When I first read about the Static Nails in Forbes–I was fascinated, yet reluctant. Aren’t press-on nails something from my mother’s generation? Well, actually they’re called “pop-on” nails now, and they’re totally shaking up the nail industry.

Maybe there could be something to this whole reusable nail thing. I tried them and here’s my complete review:

These are not your average glue-on nails: Static Nails are extremely strong, long-lasting, and reusable! They come in so many posh, bad-ass colors, like this bad ass deep matted red called Thorns & Roses (sorry ladies, it’s sold out!). The nail glue holds them in place perfectly for days on end, so you can do just about anything in these hot nails without worrying about them breaking or tearing off your nails.

Let’s get one thing straight: I’m a major nail fanatic. One of my biggest obsessions is having perfectly polished nails at all times, and I’m on a first-name basis with my nail stylist. So, when I heard about Static Nails, I was a little skeptical of their long-lasting, reusable claims. So I did what any curious person would do: try them for myself.

I chose a major bad nail day to give these nails the biggest shot possible. Once I opened the box, I fell in love with the matte-red color of Thorns & Roses. And the quality of these nails are nothing less than jaw-dropping: they feel more quality than most nail salon acrylics. And the best part is that they give you a ton of nails in different sizes, so you know you’ll find a perfect fit for each finger.

As if these nails couldn’t get any better, they blew my expectations completely out of the water. To my surprise, these nails really worked. And when I say they really worked, I mean they really freakin’ worked. Once I glued them on, they immediately dried and held onto my nails. The nail glue in the package was some real industrial-type stuff, and I was extremely impressed. The nails wouldn’t budge a centimeter no matter what I did throughout the day, and I was happy with how styled and chic they looked.

When it was time to take them off, all I had to do was soak my fingers in hot water, and within minutes I was able to effortlessly slide them right off, no tugging, filing, or pulling necessary. So, I stored them away and am currently saving them for my next nail emergency. As if they couldn’t be more of a nail miracle, they’re totally reusable, so you can keep them and use them over and over again!

So, do yourself a favor and ditch the nail salon forever with Static Nails. Their extremely affordable, reusable glue-on nails retail for $14 each starting, and come in tons of beautiful shades! Go bold with their striking designs like the Smoke Show ($16) smoke-effect nails, or stay subtle and sexy with their medium-nude Nylon ($14). Whichever you chosoe, we guarantee you’ll be just as obsessed with them as we are.
