Forth & Towne, Gap Inc.’s newest women’s apparel store, will open new outposts in San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle this fall. The stores, already operating in Chicago and New York, focus on the total shopping experience: extra-large dressing rooms with adjustable lighting, extra seating, and three-way mirrors; a central fitting salon, and free spring water for everyone. The brand’s designer is Austyn Zung, formerly of Oscar de la Renta and J.Crew. The collection focuses on women over age 35 and offers size 2 to 20 with a focus on fit. Forth & Towne is not yet available online so until then we’re sticking with Gap.com and bananarepublic.com.
A sampling of Forth & Towne’s collection: Allegory gathered sundress ($98), white swing jacket ($88), large stone necklace ($58), jeweled tote ($98).
