Hangnails are the worst. You know, those dry pieces of skin that peel off around your cuticles… No matter how perfect your manicure looks, those little skin flaps find a way to downgrade your nail game. Not to mention, um, OW! They hurt, they swell, they get infected, OH MY! Quite the pests… But, luckily, hangnails aren’t forever. In fact, there are some pretty easy fixes that you can perform from the comfort of your own home!
Here are our top 3:
Vitamin E Oil
Grab some pure Vitamin E Oil and apply it directly to the hangnail area. The moisturizing properties will soften the dried skin. Leave it on until it’s all absorbed, and re-apply until your hangnail is history!
Avocado
Mash up half an avocado and mix-in 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Apply the concoction to your nails before bed and rinse it off in the morning. Repeat a few times a week and kiss your hangnails GOODBYE!
Yogurt
Yogurt works as a moisturizer! Who knew, right? Apply a bit of yogurt to the problem spot and wash off a few hours later. Do this daily until your hangnails are gone!
