I have what you’d call a shaky hand. It’s a trait I never noticed until I began trying–and failing miserably–to perfect cat eye eyeliner. Judging by the latest runway and editorial trends, winged eyeliner and its close cousin, the sleek, thin line drawn on right above the upper lashes, or what I like to call “impossible eye,” show no signs of quitting. Here’s what that means for me and anyone else who shares my inability to master eyeliner: lots and lots of tissues, makeup remover, and cries of, “I almost got the line straight this time! Oh well, maybe tomorrow!”
Luckily, it doesn’t have to be so difficult. While your ordinary kohl eyeliner pencil is not going to do an unsteady hand any favors, makeup brands are starting to get hip to the fact that some of us need more technological guidance in order to achieve eyeliner greatness.
Ladies, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve found the number one best eyeliner for people with zero skills: Double Lines is actually a dual purpose stick. One side features a precision tip eyeliner that is so beautifully thin even hooded eyes like mine are spared a centimeter of eye-opening lid after attempting a wing. The other side gives you a super-dark black kohl Kajal liner that is meant to be used on the waterline.
I always start off my eye makeup routine applying a Double Lines is only available in the darkest black on planet Earth. Please make these in green and rose-gold, Ciaté, so that all of my eyeliner dreams can finally come true.
