As much as I enjoy living in places that have four distinct seasons, I don’t think I’ll ever be excited about the dry skin that seems to come along with the cold weather every winter. Year after year, I continue to struggle to find a product that keeps my face hydrated but still feels super lightweight and lets my skin breathe.
That’s why I was so excited to try out Versed’s new Sunday Morning Antioxidant Oil Serum. Since it’s an oil/serum hybrid, it’s able to provide moisture and nourishment without feeling heavy.
The first thing I noticed about the new oil serum is how bright its two layers are. The (slightly) lighter orange at the bottom is the water phase, with tons of anti-inflammatory plant extracts, and the really vibrant orange on top is the oil phase, full of antioxidants that keep your skin looking bright and fresh. Shaken together, the two phases work hard for your skin: Versed’s oil serum reduces redness, smoothes and conditions, promotes elasticity and firmness, protects and heals damage from sun and other environmental factors, and wards off signs of aging.

After mixing the layers together with a few shakes, I used about three drops of Versed’s new oil serum on my clean face in place of my usual serum, and then put on moisturizer. (In the summer, I’ll probably go lighter and skip the moisturizer entirely.) It only took a few days of morning and night application before I started to notice a difference. My skin just feels brighter and more vibrant. I was a little worried about greasiness when I saw the word “oil” in the name, but I shouldn’t have been – it’s super lightweight, and not shiny at all. I’ve also been putting a few drops of Versed’s oil serum on my cuticles, which are starting to look much better.
My other favorite thing about this new Versed product is that it’s vegan and cruelty free. I love how many natural plant ingredients, like camelia oil and sea buckthorn berry extract, are packed into it. I always prefer using clean products on my skin.
If your skin is also going through changes this season, trust me when I say that you need this product in your winter skincare routine. And the best part? It is under $20!
