I happen to love the idea of socks more than actually wearing them, mainly because my feet get really hot and I prefer to not have them sweating. Most people tend to wear socks with shoes or when their feet get cold and that’s about it. However, there are some people who firmly believe in wearing socks (or slippers) when walking about their home aka never going barefoot.
Wearing socks or slippers while at home prevents your feet from being cracked and dry. When you walk around barefoot, your feet become rough and chafed and in time will become dry, which leads to painful cracks. By wearing socks, you create a barrier between your feet and the rough floor so you’ll be able to retain the moisture.
Here are a few other ways wearing socks at home will benefit your feet:
1. It can prevent athletes foot and calluses.
2. It will heat your entire body.
3. Helps to alleviate pain.
4. Your feet will remain clean.
