Flowers are a big part of any wedding budget, but if they are out of season (such as roses or peonies in the winter) you are going to pay an arm and a leg to fly them in. Maybe it’s a budgetary issue — or maybe you’re a green bride who doesn’t want to use live plants. Or maybe you’re an ambitious DIY bride who want a bouquet that will truly stand out — like one of these hand-made vintage brooch bouquets. Especially in colder months, an alternative bouquet is worth considering — and may even make more of an impression than a fistful of fleurs (for a fraction of the cost).
And not only will DIY non-floral bouquets make a big statement on the big day, but really will last forever. Talk about a keepsake you really could pass on to your daughter.
