Calling all 90’s chicks: thanks to Chanel, the choker is making a come back for spring and summer. But, today’s version is much different from the ones we loved a couple decades ago. The styles that hit the runway this season are more like a cuff for your neck. They’re easy to wear and leave room for designers to add fun embellishments, like giant pearls.
Unfortunately, not everyone has a Chanel budget. So while we were busy saving our pennies and drooling over the French brand’s double pearl choker, Anthropologie got busy. The retailer jumped on the choker bandwagon and made an affordable copycat. Can you guess which choker is Chanel and which is from Anthropologie?
Answer: The one on the left is Anthropologie’s Double Pearl Necklace ($48), which is sold exclusively online, and the one on the right is the Chanel Double Pearl Choker ($3,710), which is part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
