Phone Noise Cancellation

Have you ever tried taking a call in a noisy room, only to focus on the voices and sounds around you, and NOT the person’s voice on the other end of the phone? It’s a typical dilemma, but Apple has a simple solution: its Phone Noise Cancellation setting can help reduce ambient background noise. This setting is available and on by default if you have an iPhone 12 or earlier, but you can turn it off and on as you wish by heading to Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual > Phone Noise Cancellation.

Use Grid for Photos

A shot that is well-composed is simply a better-looking photo. You don’t need mastery in photography to achieve the rule of thirds in your photos, either (this is the idea that placing your subject in the left or right third of the image makes for a better photo). You can set up “Grid” on your Photos app to help you actually see splits in your frame while you are taking a photo that can guide you. Go to Settings > Camera > toggle on the Grid. Then, when you are about to take a shot, make sure your subjects are aligned with the grid lines or where they meet to create a more compelling photo.
