If your fairly new iPhone is acting like it’s 100 years old — stalling, not updating fast enough — there are plenty of steps you can take to address the problem before running to the Apple store and dropping even more money on another device. Tech Expert Miranda Yan, founder of VinPit, says there are a few good hacks that can make your iPhone run faster and perform better. The key is actually knowing the steps to take — and we have that info for you to make your life easier. Read on to discover four hacks that can make your iPhone run like it’s brand new again.
Mitigating Downloads
“To save storage space in your phone, stop your Instagram and WhatsApp from automatically downloading videos, voice messages, and pictures,” Yan says. “Also, don't make a bulk of unnecessary files, memes, images, etc. To save more space, upload your files over to cloud services or keep them on your PC or laptop.”
Get Rid of Junk Apps
Chances are you have a bunch of apps on your phone that you rarely use and that don’t add value to your life. It’s time to get rid of them and speed up your phone in the process.
Yan says to follow these steps to uninstall junks apps which take more storage and consume memory and background data making your iPhone slow:
*Place the app which you want to get rid of in a folder.
*Then press and hold the app until it starts shaking
*Then start dragging it over to the folder on the next page.
*Then drag it over to the third page.
*Keep hold of the app and press the home button.
Charge your iPhone Quickly
“This is quite an easy trick and is applicable across android and IOS,” Yan says. “Just turn on your airplane mode when charging. This reduces the charging time by increasing the charging speed. Airplane mode turns off networks and Wifi, which doesn't utilize your phone's juice anymore.”
Make iPhone battery last longer
“Turn your phone's brightness down or turn on adaptive intelligence to prevent the screen from lowering battery percentage,” Yan says. “Disabling location services, push notifications, app vibrations, and background data usage will save a considerable battery percentage.”
