Amazon Just Made A Huge Covid Mistake–Employees Are Furious!

Amazon falsely told thousands of employees in the UK that they had tested positive for Covid-19–forcing them to self-isolate!

Nearly 4,000 workers for the American company in Britain were told that they had to quarantine after tests came back positive. Those test results turned out to be false. Can you imagine?!

A spokesperson for the U.K. Department of Health and Social Care told ABC News that on February 13th 3,853 Amazon employees were told they had tested positive.

Luckily, they were swift in discovering the mistake and workers were told that their tests were actually negative later that night. Phew!

"Working closely with Amazon, NHS Test and Trace rapidly notified affected employees to let them know they did not need to isolate," the spokesperson said.

Amazon did not specify to ABC News where in the U.K. the affected employees worked, or what their roles within the company are.

The marketplace has created a workplace testing program that uses PCR testing to report on positive cases daily, amid the deadly surge in the country.

"We've communicated with our associates and partners to support them with the appropriate action steps, as instructed by the NHS," Amazon said in a statement at the time. Well, better safe than sorry!
