In case you missed it, Jeff Bezos announced that he will step down from the position of CEO at Amazon!
The marketplace’s founder revealed in a letter to employees on February 2nd that he would be transitioning from CEO to an executive chairman role in the third quarter of the year.

Bezos pointed to the fact the role of being CEO of such a huge company was extremely demanding.
"Being the CEO of Amazon is a deep responsibility, and it's consuming," he wrote in the statement announcing his transition. "When you have a responsibility like that, it's hard to put attention on anything else." Understandable!

The announcement had ripples through the entire tech industry. Of the "Big Five" tech companies--Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Alphabet, and Microsoft--only Facebook still has its original founder as CEO.
So, who will be the new CEO of Amazon? Andy Jassy, a long time second-hand man to Bezos, will replace him.
