Cranberries
Cranberries are antioxidant rich and anti-inflammatory. You can't go wrong if you're considering snacking on cranberries. These fruits aren't always consumed on a regular basis, in fact, the only time people usually eat cranberries is around Thanksgiving! Cranberries contain a high volume of vitamin C and also boost your immune system!
Leafy Greens
Leafy greens are great inflammation fighters. Whether it's spinach, lettuce, collard, or kale, they're rich in vitamins that help reduce inflammation. If you're feeling bloated after the holidays, grab a large salad and treat your body to some leafy greens!
Pumpkin Seeds
More great inflammation fighters are pumpkin seeds! Do you still have pumpkins left over from Halloween and you don't know what to do with them? Crack them open and snack on the seeds! Pumpkin seeds are "rich in iron, fiber, and protein...[and] are full of anti-inflammatory Omega 6, making them the perfect little addition to a meal when you’re wanting a nutritious and inflammation fighting boost."
Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are the last item on our list. You probably are familiar with them, especially during the holidays - topped with brown sugar, butter, and marshmallows, they're not the healthiest thing to consume with all of the added toppings. But boiled, or baked and eaten plain, sweet potatoes are "a great source of complex carbs, fiber, beta-carotene, manganese and vitamin B6 and C, these potatoes actually help heal inflammation in the body."
Try these four foods to fight that bloating feeling after Thanksgiving!
