If your motto is “the more apps, the merrier,” one obvious downside of accumulating as many apps as you can is that some of them take up an obscene amount of storage on your phone. And when your storage is taken up, you are limited in how you can use your device. You may not be eager to delete a bunch of apps you love, but if your concern is storage space, one of the best things you can do is take a targeted approach to deleting apps that are the biggest culprits when it comes to phone drainage. John Tian, Founder of Mobitrix, spoke to SHEFinds.com about the three apps to delete from your phone right now — they take up so much storage.
Spotify
Spotify may be one of the most popular music streaming apps, but it’s also is a storage space hogger and should be deleted from your iPhone right now, according to Tian. “Spotify has an extensive catalog, and its cache can take up so much storage up to nearly 2GB of the phone’s internal memory,” Tian says.
Skype
“When your iPhone is overflowing with apps, every bit of space counts,” Tian says. “Skype isn’t that big, but it hogs your storage space and is not that streamlined. It takes so much space that it could inconvenience your usability of the device.”
Google Chrome
All browsers are not created equal. If storage space is a concern, Google Chrome is one of the worst you can use. “Like we know it, Chrome is a memory hog app that should be deleted from your iPhone,” Tian says. “It takes up much space because of its caching greedy tendencies. This might affect your phone’s performance, starting with RAM usage.”
Try deleting these three apps to instantly gain back storage space for a more efficient device.
