CVS Just Made This Huge Covid Announcement–& People Are Freaking Out!

CVS has begun in-store COVID-19 vaccinations, the pharmacy chain announced last week!

The company confirmed to the New York Post on January 27th that the life-saving vaccine is being distributed in New York and other states. A rep for the store also confirmed that it is ramping up plans “to administer millions of shots a month.” This is huge!

“Per an agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services, COVID-19 vaccines will eventually be available at all CVS Pharmacy locations throughout the country subject to product availability and prioritization of populations, which will be determined by states,” the drug chain said.

How can you access them? New York residents over the age 65 can make appointments for the shot at locations in the Long Island town of Center Moriches and the Erie County village of Blasdell.

Residents in Indiana, Connecticut, Ohio and Massachusetts have also begun receiving the vaccination under similar guidelines.

The company has stated that it is preparing to deliver 20 to 25 million vaccines per month through its retail stores once more vaccines become available in the U.S.

“Our impact at retail will be significant given our presence in communities across the country and more than 90,000 pharmacists, licensed pharmacy technicians, and nurses who will proudly take part in the vaccination effort,” chief executive next month Karen S.
