One of the biggest struggles most of us face when it comes to phone usage is maximizing storage space. More often than not, people find themselves with tons of photos and videos they don’t ever want to delete, and they have favorite apps that they’d prefer to be on their phone forever. We totally get it. If we were given three wishes, one would definitely be unlimited phone storage.

But honestly, there comes a time in life when your device reaches its maximum capacity. Eventually, you’ll need to clear out more space for it to function properly. If you’ve ever been in this situation, we know how painful it can be to get rid of apps that you love and content that you value. Unfortunately, it must be done.

With that in mind, how exactly do you start? Apparently, there’s one app that tech experts believe could free up so much storage on your phone. Keep reading to learn more from Shane Liuw, SEO Expert at First Page Digital and John Tian, Founder of Mobitrix.

Spotify

It seems like you'd be better off using the popular music streaming app on a desktop browser than on your phone. According to Tian, "Spotify has an extensive catalog, and its cache can take up so much storage–up to nearly 2GB of the phone's internal memory."

Downloading songs from Spotify is inevitable—especially if sometimes, you prefer to listen to music offline. However, doing this extra step of saving all of them to your device could be one of the main reasons why your phone's storage space is getting full. To address this, Liu says, "You should determine [which] songs are truly necessary to download, as they can always be streamed via Wi-Fi or cellular connection."

Overall, we know how removing apps from your phone could be a tough process. We understand that it may be hard to let go of some apps that have been a part of your life for quite a while now. But if you want your device to work as well as it should, this is a course of action that you may just want to consider.
