Domino's announced plans to hire 10,000 part- and full-time employees to help satisfy the increased demand for delivery orders.
The fast-food restaurant chain is looking for people to fill a variety of positions--including delivery drivers, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers, and licensed truck drivers.
Domino's CEO Richard Allison explained in a statement: "[S]taffing is critical and stores across the nation are looking to hire. We want to make sure we’re not only feeding people, but also providing opportunity to those who are looking for work at this time, especially those in the heavily-impacted restaurant industry."
Domino's has also started offering contactless delivery for these orders, following the lead of many other company's food delivery policies.
The pizza chain is also offering paid leave for employees during this time, asking those who are unwell and those with any possible exposure to COVID-19 to stay home.
