McDonald’s enthusiasts on Reddit are responding to a picture of a disappointed customer’s shake, which cost nearly $7 and wasn’t filled to the brim. The customer mentioned that it was supposed to be a large shake from the restaurant, but it was only about three-quarters full.

In the post caption, the uploader wrote: “McDonalds rip off. A large shake, haven’t had one in months, they used to be filled to the top. Of course it’s nearly $7.00 now!” Fellow Redditors and McDonald’s fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

McDonald’s Customers React To A ‘Sad-Looking’ Shake On Reddit: ‘Rip Off’

One commented: “Omg… I thought THAT was hot chocolate! Couldn’t figure out why this was so foamy & sad looking? Are you kidding me, that you spent 7 bucks for this?! Go to your local Grocery Store & buy good quality ice cream to make yourself some proper & solid milkshakes!!!”

Another shared a similar message: “Stop going.” Someone else chimed in, writing: “This! Why do people like to voluntarily get ripped off and then complain afterwards? Mc Donalds has been a bad value for YEARS.” One other gave the original poster a potential solution: “Be a Karen and take off the lid when you get it in front of them and if it isn’t filled up tell them to fill it up.”

They continued: "No big deal. The kids that work there are just forced to be as fast as possible and under heaps of stress because of the bad conditions. Doing it fast means that they are used to not waiting until it is full since it causes problems like overflowing then they gotta clean it up blah blah blah."

For reference, this is what a large shake looks like from the McDonald's website (above). As noted by Mickey D's, the price varies on location. A classic chocolate shake with whipped cream is "perfectly crafted," according to the brand and "made with creamy soft serve & chocolate syrup." The chain adds: "Our chocolate shake recipe features delicious soft serve and chocolate syrup, finished with whipped light cream. There are 800 calories in a large Chocolate Shake from McDonald's."
