Trying to Lose Weight? A Fitness Coach Shares 4 Healthier Fast Food Picks That Won’t Derail Progress

1. Chick-Fil-A Egg White Grill

The Chick-fil-A Egg White Grill is a delightful breakfast option that offers a combination of grilled chicken, fluffy egg whites, and melted American cheese. This tasty mix is presented on a warm, toasted multi-grain English muffin, providing a satisfying start to your day.

Kols tells her followers that this menu item is "freaking delicious" and is her "absolute favorite post-gym meal" with "only 290 calories and has 26 grams of protein." She noted that it might look small in pictures, but she finds it to be "super filling and pretty big."

2. Burger King Whopper Junior

For lunch, the health coach says to "go to Burger King" and "order a Whopper Junior" with "330 calories and 15 grams of protein." The Whopper Jr. is a more compact take on Burger King's iconic Whopper. It includes a flame-grilled beef patty, topped with creamy mayonnaise, tangy ketchup, fresh slices of tomatoes, crisp lettuce, sharp white onions, and crunchy pickles.

All of these ingredients are nestled within a toasted sesame seed bun. This sandwich offers a smaller yet satisfying version of the classic Whopper, perfect for those looking for a lighter meal without sacrificing the delicious flavors Burger King is known for.

3. Burger King Chicken Fries

Another weight loss-friendly option from Burger King is its "nine piece chicken fry," according to Kols. She said that this only has "260 calories and an additional 15 grams of protein." In addition, she noted that with sauces, you'll want to "stick with ketchup and barbecue, as those are going to be your lowest calorie" options.

She also suggested having a "diet soda to drink, which would bring you a lunch total to 640 calories and 30 grams of protein" (including the Junior Whopper above).

4. Chipotle Double Chicken Bowl

Kols noted that this is her most protein-rich option in the video, and suggested getting a "double chicken bowl" during your next Chipotle outing with "light rice, light beans whatever one you want."

The Bottom Line

She noted that with "double chicken, light sour cream, cheese and lettuce," this "puts you at 700 calories and 77 grams of protein." Now, after eating all of the items on this list, the TikToker said that "your total calories so far are going to be 1,630." The more you know!
