Minimizing background processes on your iPhone and deleting media files you no longer need are the two keys to making your phone run faster. But that doesn’t mean you can’t gain back storage space, reduce clutter, and give your phone a boost by deleting a few apps.
The problem is always: which apps can you happily part ways with? You might be reluctant to delete apps that you’ve downloaded yourself, know, love, and use often. Doing so can feel like a sacrifice. But deleting pre-installed apps is a lot easier because (let’s be honest) there are probably more than a few that you’ve never laid eyes on.
Help make your phone run faster and more efficiently by deleting these three pre-installed apps on your iPhone.

1. Tips
Have you ever opened up Apple’s Tips app? No? Not even sure what you’d find on it? You’re not alone. Tips can be helpful for Apple newbies and want a little guidance navigating their way around their iPhone, but if you’re an iPhone veteran, there’s probably very little Tips can teach you. Add a bit more storage space back by deleting Tips.

2. Apple News
Apple News can be helpful if you appreciate aggregated news content from a variety of sources. But many people are no longer getting their news this way. You may be listening to podcasts or feel you have a favorite news outlet, in which case, Apple News isn’t going to be as helpful to you.

3. Apple Stocks
Apple Stocks doesn’t take up a tremendous amount of resources, but it still takes up space and can run background processes. Unless you actually use the app (and given how many other stocks apps there are out there that have more sophisticated features, this may not be likely) feel free to delete it.
