With that said, sipping on a hot drink before bed can help your body prepare to enter its rest and restoration cycle, and doing this consistently can lead to healthy weight loss and fat burning.

How Decaf Green Tea Assists In Fat Burning
Green tea presents a myriad of health benefits with every sip— from promoting glowing skin to its ability to assist your gut health. This, Richards says, is due to its high antioxidant contents. Green tea, she explains is a detox tea.
"Detox teas can be a great beverage to consume before bedtime to speed up metabolism and fat burning," she says, as it can help you target your goal of healthy weight loss. "Some of the more popular and effective detox teas are those with a high antioxidant content."
At night, drinking tea before sleep is the "best choice" you could make if you don't feel satiated enough and want to wind down, Cowin adds. Decaffeinated green tea in particular is a "healthy beverage that can help you reduce weight effectively" and he dubs it the "best option if you're looking to cut down on caffeine intake before bed." (The last thing you want to do for weight loss is disrupt a consistent and regular sleep schedule!)
Having a cup "right before sleep" can help you lose weight, he stresses, because it boosts your metabolism and prevents the storage of fat. "It also provides many health benefits because it is rich in antioxidants, which can help protect your body from harmful toxins," Cowin concludes. (And now we want a cup!)
