Who doesn’t love a great iPhone hack that helps increase the speed and efficiency of your device? If you’ve noticed your phone has been taking a longer time to do just about everything, it’s time to make a few quick changes that will get it up to speed so that it loads pages faster and works better. But, first, it’s important to identify why your device is lagging. More than likely, it is suffering under the weight of too many apps, photos, videos, and undeleted texts. What to do about it? This is the surprising hack that makes your iPhone run so much faster — and tech experts love this.

Offload Unused Apps

Full storage can make your iPhone dull and slow, says Sarah Kiran, chief editor at Good Cloud Storage, and it’s worth knowing that Apple recommends at least 1 GB free data on your iPhone to work on its optimum speed. If you have far less data than this on your device, one simple hack can make all of the difference: use the “offload unused app” option, which Kiran says takes just 10 seconds to do. “This will free up the storage used by the app while keeping all its documents and data safe,” Kiran says. “In case you want the app back in the future, you can install it from the app store and it will reinstate your data back. Not only does this make your phone instantly fast but also saves your time of going through storage and deleting the data manually.”

Turn Off Notifications

Another tip the tech experts love for a speedier phone is to turn off all unnecessary notifications — and this is yet another step that will take just seconds.

“Turning on notifications means your iPhone will refresh itself and search for any updates automatically in a certain period of time,” says Tech Expert Ciki from iboysoft.com, a data recovery site. “It also means consumption of iPhone operating resources. Thus disabling unnecessary notifications helps your phone run faster. From one perspective, you can do it with great ease. You can disable notifications in Settings any time you feel tired of them. Meanwhile, whenever downloading a new app, just click “Don’t allow” when the program asks to send you notifications. From another perspective, disabling all unnecessary notifications can offer you greater user experience. Remember when you are having fun but get interrupted by annoying notifications? No more trouble like that.”

Following these two steps can lead to a much better iPhone user experience, and it takes no time at all to make these changes.
