Over 40 And Want To Heal Your Gut? These Are The 5 Best Underrated ‘Gut-Healing Supplements’ According To A Health Expert

1. APEX Energetics Bilemin

The TikToker first listed this supplement, noting you can “get it from Amazon or somewhere else.” She added that “so many people forget to address the binary system, but it is a huge part of going to the bathroom.” The company notes that this supplement is formulated with a balanced mix of components aimed at enhancing overall health and sustaining an active lifestyle. It includes plant-derived enzymes and phytonutrients to aid the liver and may also assist in digestion and detoxification.

2. Pure Encapsulations Digestive Enzyme

Regarding this next supplement, the user said: "I love this one." She went on: "if you have gut issues, you are probably not absorbing the nutrients from your food."

She also noted: "You're also probably not breaking down a lot of the protein, carbs and fats that are found in food, which is leading to further gut issues." She stressed that this supplement, available at Walmart, can "help a lot."

3. Organic India Triphala

Up next, @claire.elis notes that this is a "supplement to make sure you are actually releasing and emptying your GI tract, because if you are not, it leads to a buildup of toxins which can lead to so many other issues."

Regarding her third on the list, she added: "The main priority is making sure you are going to the bathroom every single day, and I love this supplement for it is a mix of herbs."

She goes on to say that it is "iterally just 3 different fruits, and it has something magical in it that just works." This supplement, available via Amazon, "contains essential nutrients and antioxidants to support overall health and vitality," according to the brand.

4. Armra Colostrum

"This powder has done wonders for me," the health expert explained regarding this ARMRA Colostrum Premium Powder, available on Amazon.

Regarding this fat-free and gluten-free supplement, the user noted that "colostrum is considered a superfood" and this "helps immensely with immune support, which is a huge problem for people who have gut issues."

She added: "they're typically getting sick all the time, but [this supplement has been] amazing for rebuilding my microbio."

5. Biotics Research GI-Resolve

For her last listed and "favorite" supplement, @claire.elis said that this gastrointestinal item (also found on Amazon) helps to "support your gut lining and healthy intestinal permeability." She noted: "It has L glutamine in it, which I talk about so much because it's my favorite supplement." She continued: "It has been widely studied to help reseal the gut lining, which that is the first thing to go if you have gut issues."

The TikToker noted that when this happens, "food starts getting into your gut lining that should not be passing it." She went on: "You get more food sensitivities and all of the gut issues. This helps to reseal that." According to the brand, this supplement "combines a number of gut-supportive nutrients such as L-Glutamine, Zinc Carnosine, N-Acetyl Glucosamine, MSM, Aloe vera leaf, Okra, and DGL, that revive the health of the intestinal mucosa and also support the natural secretions of the mucous membranes in the GI tract."

The Bottom Line

User @claire.elis concluded her video by explaining that the "only reason" she didn't list a probiotic is because she believes "most people who are healing their gut lining typically should remove the probiotic for a time period while they help to eliminate the overgrowth of bacteria with certain antimicrobials."

She added: "If you have a known source of overgrowth, you need to include an antimicrobial, but otherwise don't have a probiotic yet." The TikToker signed off and noted: "And if you feel like you're taking a probiotic and it's making things worse, it probably is, so get off of it." The more you know!
