While Costco offers plenty of great deals and sales for its members, it turns out there is a way to still benefit from the wholesale chain without signing up for a membership! As reported by Eat This, Not That, the way to do this is through Instacart, and we’ll break down how it works, below:

Helpful Hack: Shop At Costco Without A Membership, And Through Instacart
As the outlet writes, the delivery app and its website partners with Costco, meaning it can bring the store's coveted in-bulk products to non-members, and "deliver them to your doorstep." Instacart memorably gained popularity during the pandemic as a helpful no-contact delivery service. Now, it also provides delivery for many major retailers, such as CVS, Aldi, Kroger and more.
While Costco notably has a members-only policy and fee, Instacart is free to use. Same-day delivery on the app starts at $3.99 for orders over $35, depending on your order, and delivery is free for orders over $35, if you are an Instacart+ member. Costco members can also benefit from Instacart's deliveries, too, as the app is free for two months if you're already a member at the wholesale chain. Another bonus is a reduced Instacart+ membership if you continue on after the free trial.
The one drawback— Eat This, Not That explains— is that some prices on Instacart may be higher than those you might see at Costco's actual locations. "If you're not a member, you can shop directly from Instacart.com, but you'll pay a higher price than members shopping on Costco Same-Day Delivery," the chain explains on its site. (Still might be worth a try if you want to check out what Costco and Instacart have to offer!)
