The look in question? A show-stopping Rick Owens black gown featuring chest cutouts that show off Kim’s, um, assets.

Fans took to Instagram to slam the KKW Beauty founder’s skimpy dress and heavy makeup. And while etiquette rules *do* state that you’re not supposed to wear black to a wedding OR outshine the bride, this isn’t exactly your average affair. To start, Kim is Kim. And secondly, Paris’ Oscar de la Renta wedding gown couldn’t be outshone–it was just THAT stunning.
In case you missed it, the DJ wed venture capitalist Carter Reum on the 11/11 date in front of family and close friends, including Kim, Nicole Ritchie, Paris Jackson and others. When photos from the ceremony started appearing on social media Friday morning, fans were delighted by pics of Paris and Kim–particularly one where Kim is seen fixing Paris’ train. Remember that she got her start as Paris’ assistant!

This week, the fallout over Kim’s dress choice intensified as sister Kendall was also called out for wearing an incredibly risqué cut-out Monot dress to pal Lauren Perez’s wedding.
A Reddit thread dedicated to mocking Kim’s outfit popped up soon after. “She looks great but not very wedding appropriate,” wrote one user. “The makeup is too heavy,” chimed another. Well, you can’t win!
