Your iPhone is so much more than a phone — it’s also a GPS. And while it’s capable of storing your location and spitting it back out, just when you need it (like when you can’t remember where the nearest gas station is), that doesn’t necessarily mean that you want your locations stored on the phone. The less personal information your phone stores, the more secure you’ll be if your phone winds up in the wrong hands. This is the one location setting you need to turn off immediately, according to Tech Expert Harriet Chan, co-founder of CocoFinder.
Switch Off Sound And Vibration
“Sounds and vibration also heavily drain the battery,” Yan says. “Make your battery run like new for more extended periods, switch off call beats, pop-up messages, and notifications sounds.”
Using Your Phone While It’s Charging
We live in a society where multitasking is a valuable trait. But, when it comes to your iPhone, the best thing you can do when it’s charging is leave it completely alone to charge and save your tasks for later.
“Whenever we use our smartphone while charging, the phone generates heat, and the heat is already generated due to charging, which damages the battery,” Yan says. “Apart from this, it also increases overall charging time.”
Dim Your iPhone Screen
“Dimming the iPhone screen is a good battery remedy because putting it on full brightness drains the battery,” Chan says. “Auto brightness may work for most people, but it is still a battery drainer through the light sensor. The best way to save charge is by adjusting the settings manually to the lowest visible level every time there is a change in lighting levels.”
