You probably have at least one or two little black dresses in your closet reserved for date nights and New Year's Eve when you want to look your best--but did you know that LBDs aren't actually the *most* flattering dress style, according to style experts? Answer: wrap dresses!
According to Tiffany Reese, styling marketing lead at Stitch Fix, "There is a reason the wrap dress has stayed in style since it’s conception in the 1970’s [by Diane Von Furstenberg] - it looks great on everyone."
But why??

"The tie waist cinches on the slimmest portion of the torso, giving an ultra-slimming effect for all body types," Reese explains. "The v-neckline paired with this waistline allows the dress to enhance your bust while slimming the hips – making it an ideal for those with a pear and square silhouettes."

"Not only is the wrap dress the most slimming dress style, but it’s also perfect for any age and can be worn anywhere, anytime. Flattering for all figures, perfect for multiple occasions, and styled at any age, it’s easy to see why it’s been a wardrobe staple since the 70s!”
