When you’re in the mood for some quality, reasonably priced Italian food, your choices can be limited. That’s why so many people love Olive Garden for its tasty variety of Italian favorites at an affordable price. Plus, they have the best breadsticks, ever.

Olive Garden is also known for its reliable and friendly staff. From the hostesses to the chefs, everyone’s happy to help and always has a smile on their face. But, there’s one thing that these friendly employees find to be incredibly irritating when they’re taking customers’ orders. Click to reveal the one thing you should never say when ordering food at Olive Garden – and no, it’s not, “Can we have more breadsticks?”

Reddit user SellinThings worked at Olive Garden for 5 years as a server and a manager. He revealed that his biggest pet peeve on the job was when customers would ask if the chefs at his restaurant were sent to Italy to train.

The best Olive Garden chefs and managers from around the country are selected to take authentic cooking lessons in Tuscany for 11 weeks, but not everyone gets to go. “This is the biggest lie of Olive Garden. Annually, they select like 5 cooks from the entire country to go to Tuscany,” SellinThings wrote. “No one from our restaurant even got remotely close to the trip.”

Wow, good to know. Next time we go to Olive Garden, we’re just going to order our pasta, enjoy our breadsticks, and refrain from asking our servers any annoying questions!
