Trader Joe’s offers a wide variety of nutritious snacks that are excellent for those aiming to shed a few pounds. Among these are unsalted nuts, dried fruits, Greek yogurt, and hummus.

In an insightful TikTok video, Mikey (@trainermikeyy), a content creator and personal trainer, highlighted four specific snacks that can aid in weight loss, enhance metabolism, and keep you feeling satisfied for a longer period.

1. Vanilla Meringues

The trainer's initial offering was an "awesome" vanilla meringue snack. He pointed out that you can savor four of these treats for only 90 calories, and the treat being completely "fat-free." According to the brand, these guilt-free meringues are also gluten-free and contain simple ingredients.

2. Dried Mango

Fruit, as the trainer pointed out, can also be a great snack choice for when you're on a journey to lose weight. He called these $4.99 dried mango treats "a favorite" from the grocer, and suggested "mixing them with Greek yogurt" for more protein. Protein plays a crucial role in weight loss as it helps increase satiety, boosts calorie expenditure, and preserves lean muscle.

3. Hard Boiled Eggs

The TikToker explained that hard boiled eggs at Trader Joe's can be prepared in so many different ways to support healthy weight loss. He said that you can "slice these up, throw them on top of your toast for an awesome avocado egg toast," or "on top of your salads with a low-calorie dressing." He went on to say that there are "60 calories for each egg with 6 grams of protein."

4. Designer Whey

The trainer noted that this whey from TJ's is 110 calories and has 20 grams of protein. He shared that you "can make easy, convenient protein smoothies" with it, and "they come in chocolate and they come in vanilla." For $12.99, you can get 12 ounces. According to him, whey protein can assist with weight loss by boosting metabolism, curbing hunger, and promoting muscle growth.
