Starbucks has announced that it will offer free coffee to healthcare workers and other first responders (again) amid the deadly third wave of the novel coronavirus outbreak!

The coffee chain revealed on Twitter December 1st that it will bring back its free coffee giveaway for the month. With so many frontline workers burning the midnight oil to fight the virus, free caffeine certainly seems like a great way to support them.

The Seattle-based company announced last week that through December 31st, "any customer who identifies as a front-line responder to the COVID-19 outbreak" will receive a free tall brewed coffee--hot or iced.

The company initially rolled out the promotion at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are so happy they've brought it back!

"Our hope with this is to reignite the movement of gratitude and to show those on the front line how much they are appreciated," vice president of global social impact Virginia Tenpenny told USA Today. "For us, we believe that one way we can do this is by offering a free cup of coffee."
