Starbucks Mug Recall

According to Nestlé USA, the ceramic mugs with metallic coating and Starbucks branding have been recalled after multiple customers faced burns and cuts from overheating mugs. More than 440,000 mugs are included in this recall, all of which were sold as part of gift sets from the 2023 holiday season between November 2023 and January 2024. Nestlé USA has emphasized that only the mugs in the gift sets are included in the recall, not any other Starbucks branded mugs.

  • Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee and Mug (16oz.); sold at Walmart & Nexcom

The recall was initiated after several reports from customers. There have been 12 incidents reported of the mugs in these gift sets overheating or breaking, which has resulted in 10 injuries. Nestlé USA recommends immediately ceasing the use of these mugs if you own one. You can also return the recalled mugs for a full refund.
