Suntegrity Skincare Recall
Sun protection is important, but it's also important to ensure you're not contaminating your skin.
Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation comes in 2 oz. orange tubes and contains SPF to protect skin from sun damage. However, recent testing indicates that some tubes of this foundation may be contaminated with a mold called Aspergillus Sydowii, which could cause an allergic reaction and primary fungal skin infection.
For this reason, the foundation has been recalled. Distributors have been notified by Suntegrity, and recalled products should no longer be available online or at retailers, where it was sold nationwide.
The full list of shades, lots, UPCs, and expiration dates can be found here. To check if you have purchased one of the recalled products, find the lot number on the back side of the tube.
If you are in possession of any of the recalled foundations, you are urged to refrain from using it. Instead, you should dispose of the product and file a refund. If purchased online from SuntegritySkincare.com or Amazon, email ImpeccableSkinRecall@SuntegritySkincare.com with your order number, product lot number, and name. Once confirmed, send a photo of the lot number on the foundation tube, along with proof of disposal, for a refund.
If purchased through a retailer, you may either make an exchange for a tinted sunscreen and a free gift via ImpeccableSkinRecall@SuntegritySkincare.com, or receive store credit by contacting the retailer. As mentioned above, proof of disposal and a photo of the lot number is required.
You can also contact the above email with any questions or concerns.
Luckily, no adverse effects have been reported at this time. However, staying on top of recalls like this is an important part of keeping you and your family safe and healthy.
