Target just announced new safety measures ahead of the holiday shopping season. What do they mean for customers?
The company announced via Twitter on November 21st that they have rolled out *dozens* of new policies and procedures to keep customers safe as the novel coronavirus rages in the U.S. You can take our health but you can never take our Tar-jay runs!

The story linked to the October 22nd release on their corporate site about how the big box store plans to allow shoppers ” to safely celebrate the joy of the season with their families.” And for that we are #Thankful.
The Minneapolis-based company announced contactless barcode scanning and payment at self-checkout, 1,000 more handheld MyCheckout devices at stores, and the ability to make shopping reservations online. This is huge!

“As we approach the holidays, guests can feel confident in choosing Target—a safe experience, incredible value and a differentiated assortment that will help them celebrate the joy of the season.” Because, let's face it--it wouldn't be the holiday season without endless Target runs for fuzzy socks, Starbucks lattes and stocking stuffers galore.

The company has rolled out countless safety initiatives since March. The "enhancements" such as contactless same-day pickup and delivery services are aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19 in their stores.
