Finally some good news for Meghan Markle!
The Duchess of Sussex has won a temporary victory in her ongoing privacy lawsuit against Associate Newspapers, publisher of the Mail on Sunday and the MailOnline. If you recall, Meghan is suing ANL over their publishing of “private letters” she sent to her father, Thomas Markle.

The judge just ruled that Meghan can keep the identities of five friends who spoke on her behalf to People magazine anonymous. This is huge!
The duchess must be elated over this decision to protect at least some portion of her personal privacy.
"Each of these women is a private citizen, young mother, and each has a basic right to privacy," Meghan had pleaded in a witness statement. Wow--she is a good friend, indeed.

Meghan had previously stated that she had no idea her friends were defending her to the media outlet, but insisted that their names be withheld from the court drama nonetheless.
HuffPo points out that while the names are listed in confidential court docs, they will just be known to the public only as A, B, C, D or E.
A spokesperson for Meghan said in a statement, “The Duchess felt it was necessary to take this step to try and protect her friends — as any of us would — and we’re glad this was clear. We are happy that the Judge has agreed to protect these five individuals.” Congrats!
