Target has taken extra store precautions in response to COVID-19, including reducing store hours and conducting more cleanings. And customers can do our part, too, one store employee is now saying.
A Midwest Target worker told Business Insider that people should shop early, come alone–or even better, place their orders online for in-store pick-up or call ahead before making the trip to make sure the store has their items in stock.
And here’s another useful tip the employee shared: what to put in your shopping cart while it’s still in stock!
Whether you're shopping online for in-store pick-up, or filling up your cart IRL, the employee suggests that you stock up on this unexpected item--while you still can.
The source said that while most people are stocking up on items like toilet paper and hand soap, you should make a B-line for the puzzles, board games, coloring books, drawing pads and other activities for keeping your kids entertained at home!
"Target has tons of activity books and craft kits that can help keep your kids occupied, as well as help them learn while school is out," the employee said.
So true! And considering that some states like California have recently cancelled classes for the remainder of the school year, with other states to follow, activity books and games are going to be in even more high-demand soon.
Expect products from Crayola, Baby Shark, Frozen II, Melissa & Doug and more to be hot sellers. Hurry--they might be as hard to get as Lysol wipes soon!
Luckily, the retail is offering a very timely deal: Buy 2, get 1 free for books and movies. Thank you, Tar-jay!
