According to a 7-Eleven employee on Reddit, you should steer clear of the Slurpee machine. The employee commented, "The amount of mold in those machines would crush your childhood to a pulp." If a mold-laced slurpee doesn't gross you out, what will?

Another 7-Eleven employee told Reddit, "The nastiest thing to eat is definitely the pizza by the slice. We're told that they should only stay in the heat box for an hour, but encouraged to keep them for almost 4." Apparently, after a few hours, the pizza by the slice taste like cardboard.
To be safe, you should also avoid eating the hot dogs, too. One employee told Reddit readers, "Hot dogs aren't really so bad. They are Oscar Meyer and they just get cooked up on the rolling grills." However, other employees responded saying they've seen people rotate the hot dogs with their bare hands!
A subject of fierce debate among 7-Eleven employees was the cleanliness of the soda foundation machines. One employee commented, "Nastiest to drink goes to the soda fountain. Those things are NEVER cleaned, causing weird black gunk to appear in the filters, and inevitably, in your drink." However, others said that the soda fountain nozzles at their location got cleaned every day. We wouldn't want to take the risk.
