Amber’s journey began on May 31, 2018, when she stepped into the gym with determination but little knowledge of where to begin. “I started to eat smaller portions,” she recalls in one of her TikTok videos. What followed was a journey marked by dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to the 80-20 rule.

The visual evidence speaks volumes: In just a few short months, Amber’s physique underwent a dramatic transformation. By July 2018, she had shed 25 pounds. By August of the same year, another 25 pounds melted away. And by the end of 2018, a staggering 72 pounds had been lost.

But Amber’s journey wasn’t solely about the numbers on the scale. It was about holistic health and well-being. She transitioned to at-home workouts, focused on maintaining a moderate calorie deficit, and prioritized her mental health along the way.

"I started sharing my results on social media," she explains. And as she shared her journey, she found not only support but also newfound strength within herself.

Fast forward to May 31, 2019, just one year later, and Amber had reached a milestone: she was down 100 pounds. But the victories didn't stop there. In August 2019, she accomplished something she never thought possible: she ran a 5k.

By January 1, 2020, her story had been published in Women's Health magazine, solidifying her status as an inspiration to many. And despite the challenges and moments of doubt along the way, Amber persevered.

"2021 was about letting go of my smallest self and finding my strongest self," she reflects. "I gained muscle, weight, freedom, confidence."

But perhaps the most impactful aspect of Amber's journey is her adherence to the 80-20 rule, as she shares in another TikTok video. This rule is all about balance; 80% of the food you eat should be health-conscious, but the other 20% can be dedicated to whatever makes your tastebuds happy. "80% of the time I’m fueling my body with nutrient-dense, macro-balanced choices," she explains. "The other 20% is just for getting whatever the heck I want!"

Amber's favorite indulgences? Pizza and ice cream. And she doesn't deprive herself of them. "I still eat ice cream on the regular. I still eat pizza on the regular," she says. After all, extreme restricting can oftentimes do more harm than good.

Her message is clear: One meal won’t break your progress! So get whatever your heart desires sometimes," she says. "It’s what you do most of the time that makes the biggest difference!"

All in all, the 80-20 rule has been instrumental in her success, allowing her to achieve her goals while still enjoying the foods she loves.

As her journey continues, one thing remains certain: Amber Clemens is proof that with dedication, consistency, and a healthy balance, anything is possible.
