Trader Joe’s Just Dropped A Major Bombshell About Its Covid Vaccine Policy For Workers

Trader Joe’s is offering employees paid time off to get the Covid-19 vaccine!

The California-based grocery chain announced that it will offer the incentive to workers, along with fellow stores Aldi, Dollar General, and Instacart, amid the life-saving vaccination roll-out. This is huge!

The "fresh format" grocery chain will give employees two hours of pay per dose, for a total of four hours for both doses. They will allow flexible scheduling as well.

This is so important as the more U.S. citizens that can receive the vaccine, the closer we are to "normal" life!

Aldi, for one, will cover the cost of the vaccine and provide hourly employees with two hours of pay for each vaccine dose they receive.

The chain said in a press release that the initiative is meant to ensure "that all hourly workers who wish to receive the vaccine are able to do so without concern about losing pay or taking time away from work."

Instacart will provide in-store shoppers and contractors who have completed at least five deliveries in the last 30 days a $25 stipend to get vaccinated.

Chipotle's CEO Brian Niccol said that the Mexican Grill would “strongly encourage” employees to get vaccinated, as well as cover the cost. This an excellent trend!
